Deep Listening

Steadfast Understanding

Practical Support

These are the core elements that I bring to the therapeutic work.

I listen fully and deeply to what you are saying and not saying. I listen to the words and the spaces between the words.
This kind of listening is the bedrock from which I work. It is what I bring to the table.
I listen to you; working always to not impose my agenda, my bias; but rather to hear you as clearly as possible.
In this process of attunement you may have the experience of being more accurately and more fully met.
Through the listening we come to the understanding. Together we begin to identify the deeper patterns. We may look at how you connect or disconnect from your feelings and body sensations. We may look at how patterns of thinking or self talk support or undermine your sense of self worth. We may look at the rhythms of how you step into or pull back from relationships. Together we can build a safe enough place for you to tackle the difficult, the painful and the stuck places in your life. In this process of steadfast understanding, you may have the experience of being more fully received.

All that you are is welcome here.

Woven through the listening and the understanding is the finding of practical, do-able ideas and possibilities. My goal is to help you build skills and awareness so that, in a very down-to-earth way, you can live your everyday life with more satisfaction and ease. My goal is to help you find practical, concrete and sustainable ways to do it differently.

This kind of relationship; this way of being listened to and received by another person is not common place. And yet many of us yearn for such a “welcome”.

Therapy can offer this kind of relationship.

And within this therapeutic relationship abiding change is possible.

Healing can occur.
